Srinagar, March 05 (KNO) : Eight persons including six cops and two prisoners’ sustained injuries on Tuesday after the police vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident at Kheerbal Mattan area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Police spokesman in a statement issued to KNO said a police vehicle with six police personnel and two accused persons onboard was travelling from Sub-Jail Mattan towards Court Complex Kulgam met with a mishap.
“In the mishap, few police personnel and two accused persons onboard received minor injuries,” he said, adding that the injured were taken to hospital for the treatment of non-life threatening injuries and all stated to be stable.
He said few of them have been discharged after receiving preliminary medical treatment while two accused persons and few police personnel continue to receive medical treatment, adding that police is investigating the cause of accident.(KNO)
